Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Mac Ghost Operations ("we," "us") collects through macghostops.com (the "Site"), how we use it and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Information you send us. If you email or message us, we receive what you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, business details and the contents of your message.
- Basic server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records technical data when a page is requested, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. This is used for security, reliability and abuse prevention.
How we use information
- To reply to your inquiry and, if you hire us, to provide the services described in our written agreement.
- To keep the Site secure and working.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site and our business (for example, our hosting provider and our email provider), who may use it only to provide those services, and when required by law.
Links to other sites
The Site links to demo sites and other third-party pages (for example, our live demos hosted on vercel.app). Those sites have their own practices and are not covered by this policy. Demo worlds use fictional companies, people and data.
Retention
We keep messages for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a business relationship, then delete or anonymize them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Server logs are kept by our host for a short period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California and other U.S. states with privacy laws, or the EU/UK), you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, and to object to or limit certain uses. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children
The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
Work we do for clients
When we build websites, booking systems, CRMs or messaging for a client, that client decides what customer data is collected and how it is used, and is responsible for its own privacy policy and consent practices (including for text and email marketing). We process that data only on the client's behalf under our agreement with them.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the effective date above when we do. If we ever add analytics, advertising tags or forms to the Site, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where required.
